Mater Medical Supply ("Master Medical") began operations in the early 1980s in the Los Angeles area; however, for the last nineteen years, the business has been located in the city of Santa Barbara. They carry a wide assortment of medical supplies as well as durable medical equipment (DME). Though they currently service approximately four to five hundred SBRHA members, Master Medical manages to maintain a small, local business mentality approaching each patient as an individual with specific needs. they work closely with local physicians in the area to provide their patients with the supplies and equipment needed to keep them independent for as long as possible.

Master Medical always strives to meet SBRHA members' needs with dignity and in a timely, efficient and caring manner. A medical supply provider change at the end of 2004 clearly demonstrated their commitment to SBRHA members. Several hundred SBRHA members had to change how they were currently receiving their medical supplies. Master Medical was instrumental in transitioning these members, so there would be no lapse in their supply coverage. The Santa Barbara Regional Health Authority is very grateful for Master Medical's diligence and support during this time of change.
